ok, so i need to write a letter to a friend who is going on holiday that i have been on i need to advise them stuff and not recommend them stuff (dos that make sense?) anyway can you check it please and make it more friendish but something thats gets me a high level but at the same time not to sound too tour guidish, thx I have recently heard that you are going on holiday to Spain, Majorca, as I have visited the island many times, I shall recommend some lovely places you can visit while you’re on your stay. It’s a pleasant island with friendly people and I hope you enjoy it. I have stayed at many hotels but so far the best was probably Panoramic Hotel in Alcudia, apart from their outstanding service, great entertainment and an excellent range of food, the hotel is also situated in a nice secluded cove. If you’re looking for nice large pools and spacious rooms with air conditioning, you may want to try the Clumba Mar hotel in Can Pica Fort as it have great pools, one of which have just been built. For the restaurants, I recommend a lovely restaurant called Monaco, in Can Pica Fort, it has an excellent menu, serving fine Spanish cuisine examples of the fine food includes fresh grilled squid, large grilled sardines and of course there’s also Spain’s national dish paella. There is also a wonderful cafe/restaurant called Oasis on the beach front of Can Pica Fort, it has wonderful entertainment and also serves a large range of Spanish dishes and drinks. There are many fantastic restaurants/cafes in Majorca and I highly recommend you try them out. Although they have delicious Spanish cuisine, I wouldn’t advise you to eat foreign food in Majorca as they seem to be more experienced their Spanish dishes. You may wish to visit the market that travels around Majorca which visits most of the resorts and sells a range of clothing, leather goods, arts and crafts etc. In Spain you may want to avoid shopping at around 2-4pm as the Spanish like to have their fiesta between those hours. I have also been to a giant carting track in Majorca, this is the biggest cart track in the whole of Majorca, it is very fun and it also has a lovely cafe very near it. If you’re looking for a fun time I highly recommend you come and try this cart track out. Have a pleasant time. btw do i sound too much like a tour guidE?  more

left college after my first year when my g dad died..i decided life is too short to waste and i wanted to achieve my life long dream as a singer. This man promised me studion time, To have me sing for a big label in london..he introduced me to the biggest songwriter in the u.k and some a+e reps but nothing has happened since...im still writing my own songs and singing away..but im still stuck in my bedroom..i have everything it takes..but im still no further than i was 2 years ago...im so sick of watching average ;stars' make it or people in the charts with little talent..while im still stuck at home dreaming away. Now all my friends are finishing college with degrees..and im still that girl who wants to make it as a singer. I would love to travel to nashville, as im more a country stlyed, But i dont have the money. What is this Muslim World that President Obama talks about and that Sky News keeps referring to? Has a new planet populated exclusively by Muslims been discovered overnight? Are Muslims now somehow a different species from the rest of us and capable of interplanetary travel? No, none of the above. Muslims support a faith, the Islamic faith, that is all, in supporting their faith they are no different to other faith believers, to give them some alternative world platform elevates them beyond all other faiths. No one talks about the Christian world or the Druid world or even the jewish world because that would be stupid. We simply describe them as faiths or religions which is what they are. We do not try and give them alternative world attributes so why is that done with the followers of Islam? Why is President Obama trying to appease Muslims anyway? Did not the followers of this new world faith behead a captive only a day or so ago? Is it the not the same faith followers that murder our soldiers almost daily? Their leaders preach hate openly in the streets of the UK and Muslim citizens of the UK plot and train to bomb and murder their fellow citizens. Did we here a word about this from the US President, not a chance. instead it was the same old rubbish about 9/11. President Barack Hussein Obama wouldn't dare rebuke the "Muslim World" properly during his Middle East tour, instead the most powerful man on the planet (That's this planet) simply offers excuses and apologises for how we have all misunderstood Muslims and that wouldn't it be better if we all got along! Hey everyone. I am 16 years old and in my last year of school (Year 11) and i am currently sitting my GCSE's. I am predicted to pass all of them easily. However more to the point, i have already contacted the RAF and i have already been to a interview about it in Guildford (Nearist one to me). I understand that qualifications play a part in becoming a pilot. But i am aware that that it is a very competitive job, and have heard only 1 in 10,000 become a RAF pilot. So therefor i have been told that my experiences play a big part in being accepted. I am also going to try and get sponsored to go into sixth form. I have a few good experiences already, such as traveling to Timbuctoe with a group of mates on our own with no tour traveling over 3000km from where we picked up our vehicle and map reading ourselfs there; which i played a big part in. And i have also done rock climbing up certain mountains such as Snowdon, in Wales. At the moment i am applying to join the ATC (Air Cadets) to higher my chances of getting in. However, is there anything that anyone could recommend for me to do to high my chances of standing out from the rest? I am up for anything, and it is my dream to become a Pilot in the RAF. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Nic Hawkins I have also been told, by a RAF recruiting officer himself, that the RAF prefer people who come after sixth form rather than Uni. Because they are younger and have better reflexs and the RAF can get more years out of them, And i also come from a Military family. My grandad was in the RAF as a engineneer. Conversly, I am somewhat dismayed at folks that expect the whole world to speak English. I happened upon Brits, whilst on a motorbike tour of Crete, bawling away at the locals in their lack of some Greek. OK, English is a requirement for all international aircraft pilots, as it is the standard thing, But surely it is only common courtesy to attempt the local lingo, even if you get it all wrong ! We would simply choose a coastal holiday destination and do the beach, touring, lazing about thing. Have you ever hired a car and driven in Sicily before? What's it like? Hi, I plan to tour egypt, going between luxor, marsa alam, hurghada, cairo and finally sharm. I have got three weeks and I am going to be back packing and staying in cheap hostels (max £10 a night). I am fairly planned but just need to know if £1300 (10 712 egp) spending money is going to be enough? Have planned to have lots of sight seeing tours (i am quite good at haggling) but plenty of beach lounging expenseless days! all financial and itinerary advice is very welcome!  more

England batting star Kevin Pietersen has lately been bemoaning the amount of time he has spent away from his wife, and has said that he will never go on a long tour again without his beloved Jess. England have been in the West Indies for 11 weeks. But how would he have fared on one of the old-fashioned tours, that lasted longer, with more games, and longer travelling time? When travelling wasn't as easy as hopping on a 'plane, and arriving at your destination within a few hours? For example, Douglas Jardine's England team, from the famous "Bodyline" series of 1932-3, took 31 days to sail to Australia. They then embarked on a gruelling, marathon tour of Australia, that took almost five months to complete, and contained 5 hard fought Tests. They then sailed to New Zealand, and played a further 2 Tests.Much of the squad then came home via a voyage across the Pacific, and a train journed across Northern America, and then back across the Atlantic to England. Quite some trip! Even in more modern times, England have had more arduous schedules that the one Pietersen is complaining about. The tour of Australia in 1986/7 lasted 4 months, although thankfully air travel meant the journey there and back was completed in days rather than weeks. It lasted almost as long in 1998/9 This century has seen a reduction in the length of tours. Fewer warm up matches are played, and Tests are often played back to back. Tours may be more frequent, but they are shorter, and players always have the option of bringing their families along for part or all of the trip. If Kevin Pietersen is having problems touring without his wife now, how would he have coped in "the olden days"? And should he buck up his ideas and remember the privileged position he is in?  more

It mentioned i should show the hotel booking letters for every trip day. Resolved Question: Tibet Travel Permit - Do I have to join a tour group?

I am planning an overland journey from China to Lhasa and on to Kathmandu as an independent traveller. On a tour website I checked out it says that the travel permit endorses me to stay in Lhasa and in two other main cities - so if I were to travel from China to Lhasa and on via Gyangze to Kathmandu in Nepal, would this journey be covered by a TTP or would I have to: 1. join a tour group to get into Lhasa 2. and if I do, can I make my own way on to Kathmandu from Lhasa 3. thirdly, will I have to obtain the Alien travel permit or would my onward travel be covered by the TTP 4. and lastly, is there a difference in the need to join a tour group depending on whether I enter Tibet by train or by air.
